God Speed Jim Garthwaite. It is with great sadness that the Guild received word of the passing of one of our outstanding members James "Jim" Garthwaite. Jim was a "pillar" of the Guild and a past "Pistolsmith of the Year" . Born and raised in Pennsylvania Jim served honorably in the US Air Force. married to his lovely wife Susan for 41 years. Jim taught many pistolsmiths over the years in the 1911 platform as well and the Browning High Power platform since 1977. He will be sorely missed by many.
